Senior Transport Modeler

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategic demand models for large-scale masterplans or road corridor studies, including network update, coding using scripts, model assignment runs, and extraction of results.
• Prepare travel demand calculations for large-scale masterplans and assist in analyzing land-use, demographic, and traffic data.
• Conduct capacity analysis for roads and intersections using relevant software for existing and future scenarios.
• Prepare technical reports based on the evaluation of mitigation measures for strategic models.
• Work in coordination with Transport Planners and multidisciplinary teams across India, UK, and Middle East projects.
• Support master planning, district masterplans, TOD, public realm, and streetscape projects.

Skills & Experience

• Expertise in strategic modelling using PTV VISUM.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages: R, Python, or others.
• Strong analytical abilities with high competence in MS Excel, VBA, and Macros (preferred).
• Working knowledge of other modelling tools such as VISSIM, Sidra, Synchro (optional).
• Master's degree in Transportation Engineering / Planning + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in traffic and demand modelling.
• Experience applying HCM procedures in traffic studies.
• Involvement in at least 2 international projects (Middle East or similar) involving complex traffic study analysis and modelling.
• Strong report writing, technical documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.
