Senior Staff Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design and implementation efforts for IBM Cloud Platform Services, contributing to architecture and technical decisions.
• Develop highly available, distributed cloud services emphasizing security, scalability, and performance using technologies like Java, Node.js, Golang, Cloudant, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio.
• Translate open specifications and RFC documents into design and implementation deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to improve frameworks, tools, and workflows, and drive implementation of improvements.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Support remote customer engagements, driving adoption of platform services.
• Participate in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and API design for cloud services.
