Senior Specialist Architect

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Containers Expert with hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-grade container platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and familiarity with SUSE Rancher, container orchestration, DevOps automation, and infrastructure as code practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Deployment & Configuration
• Installation, setup, deployment, and configuration of RHOCP and/or SUSE Rancher platforms.
• Integrate and maintain container platforms in production environments ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
• Containerization Strategy
• Develop and implement containerization strategies using Docker, Kubernetes, and related tools.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to containerize applications for optimized deployment.
• Deployment & Orchestration
• Manage containerized application lifecycle in production and test environments.
• Ensure orchestration reliability and scalability via Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Automation & CI/CD Integration (Good to Have)
• Create and maintain automation scripts for container deployment, scaling, and management.
• Integrate container workflows into CI/CD pipelines for seamless delivery.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting
• Implement monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, AlertManager) for container environments.
• Diagnose and resolve container-related issues proactively.
• Security Practices (Good to Have)
• Enforce container security best practices.
• Regularly assess and improve security posture in container deployments.
• Operational Support & Customer Collaboration
• Provide operational support for production-ready enterprise container platforms using DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate closely with customers to tailor and operate container platforms based on their requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Essential Technical Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP), including versions and migrations.
• Proficient with Kubernetes ecosystem tools: Calico CNI, Open Policy Agent (OPA), Helm v3, Nexus RM, Pod and Network Security Policies.
• Expertise in Linux OS (preferably CentOS or RHEL).
• Experience with container registries such as Quay and Harbor.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Automation and orchestration using Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of CNCF landscape and Kubernetes Advanced concepts.
• Professional Experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience with container automation platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise-grade container platforms in production.
• Kubernetes certifications (Certified Administrator, Developer, or Rancher Operator) preferred.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with SUSE Rancher (RKE) container platform.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Basic knowledge of identity and access management (IAM).
• Familiarity with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) principles.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
