Senior Software Engineer I

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer I to play a key role in designing and maintaining our printer software platform. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong background in C++ and Qt/QML, who can also mentor other team members. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software on time, championing best-in-class SDLC practices, and driving technical innovation within a global team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Use your expertise to design and build technical solutions for our printer software platform. You will develop and maintain the software using C++ and Qt/QML.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Staff Engineer to clarify requirements and with other developers and testers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Technical Leadership: Act as a technical mentor for the team, assisting with solving technical problems and ensuring the implementation of agreed-upon architecture. You will also champion SCRUM development methodology and drive technical innovation.
• Strategic Input: Contribute to strategic and tactical decision-making, including software modernization initiatives. You will research and stay on top of industry trends to ensure our products and solutions remain current.
• Global Partnership: Collaborate with team members, including software architects and testers, across the globe.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the design and development of embedded applications. You should have hands-on knowledge of Embedded C++ programming and familiarity with Qt/QML.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on knowledge of Embedded Linux/Windows CE and experience with CI/CD is essential.
• Education: A 4-year degree in Computer Science or an equivalent Engineering field.
• Methodologies: Experienced in SCRUM development methodologies.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with global teams.
