Senior Snowflake Engineer

We are seeking a proactive Senior Snowflake Engineer to lead the migration of data solutions from SAP HANA to Snowflake. You will be responsible for designing and implementing Snowflake-based data architectures, developing and optimizing complex SQL queries, and utilizing Snowpark and DBT for data pipeline automation. This role requires strong expertise in the Snowflake ecosystem and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and performance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration of SAP HANA-based solutions to Snowflake, ensuring a seamless transition and high data integrity.
• Design and implement Snowflake-based data architectures, optimizing for performance and scalability.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations within Snowflake.
• Utilize Snowpark for scalable data processing and transformations.
• Implement DBT (Data Build Tool) models for data pipeline automation and orchestration.
• Ensure efficient data integration across enterprise systems, including SAP HANA and Snowflake.
• Apply data warehousing best practices and enforce governance, security, and performance tuning in Snowflake.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and performance issues.

Skills Required:

• Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, Snowflake SQL, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Snowpark for scalable data transformations.
• Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data modeling and orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA to Snowflake migration strategies.
• Experience in data integration across SAP and Snowflake environments.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, ELT/ETL processes, and cloud data architecture.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and performance optimization in Snowflake.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with business and technical teams.

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
