Aster Medcity is looking for Senior Resident Neurology to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey

Clinical Care:

Evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, neuromuscular disorders, headache disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases
Conduct thorough neurological examinations, interpret diagnostic tests (such as MRI, CT scans, EEG), and formulate treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs

Inpatient and Outpatient Care:

Provide care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
In the hospital, manage acute neurological emergencies, conduct consultations, and follow up on patients admitted under neurology services
In the outpatient clinic, perform initial assessments, provide ongoing care, and monitor disease progression in patients with chronic neurological conditions

Multidisciplinary Collaboration:

Collaborate with other medical specialties, including neurosurgery, neuroradiology, psychiatry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy
Work closely with these specialists to provide comprehensive care and address the complex needs of patients with neurological disorders

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures:

Perform or assist with various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in neurology
May include lumbar punctures, electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), botulinum toxin injections, deep brain stimulation programming, and other specialized interventions

Seizure Management:

Diagnose and manage seizures and epilepsy
Prescribe antiepileptic medications, evaluate patients for surgical intervention when appropriate, and counsel patients and their families on seizure management and safety precautions

Stroke Care:

Participate in the acute management of stroke patients
Administer thrombolytic therapy (if eligible), implement stroke prevention strategies, and plan for rehabilitation
