Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant, Data Architect
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect with relevant years of experience in designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-scale data platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in modern cloud data stacks, including dbt, Snowflake, and Fivetran, along with strong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and advanced data modeling techniques.
This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on architectural capabilities to design scalable, secure, and high-performing data ecosystems that support analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and enterprise decision-making.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Architecture
.Define and own the enterprise data architecture strategy and roadmap.
.Design scalable data warehouse, lakehouse, and ELT architectures.
.Architect modern cloud-based data platforms using Snowflake and associated tools.
.Establish architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
Data Engineering & ELT Strategy
.Design ELT workflows leveraging Fivetran for ingestion and dbt for transformation.
.Define transformation standards, modular dbt architecture, and testing frameworks.
.Optimize Snowflake performance (clustering, partitioning, cost optimization).
.Implement CI/CD and DevOps best practices for analytics engineering.
Data Modeling & MDM
.Lead conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling initiatives.
.Implement dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schema), Data Vault, and hybrid models.
.Design and implement Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
.Establish golden records, data harmonization, and entity resolution strategies.
.Define metadata management and lineage frameworks.
Governance, Security & Compliance
.Define enterprise data governance policies.
.Ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
.Establish data quality frameworks and monitoring mechanisms.
.Implement role-based access control and secure data-sharing practices.
Leadership & Collaboration
.Provide architectural guidance to Data Engineers and Analytics teams.
.Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
.Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies.
Mentor engineering teams and drive best practices adoption.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
.Relevant years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture.
.Strong hands-on expertise with:
odbt (advanced modeling, macros, testing, documentation)
oSnowflake (architecture design, optimization, security)
oFivetran (data ingestion strategy and integration)
.Deep experience in Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks and implementation.
.Strong expertise in data modeling (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).
.Advanced SQL and query optimization skills.
.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
.Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow/Prefect or similar).
.Strong understanding of metadata management, lineage, and cataloging tools.
.Knowledge of semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, Avro).
Experience designing scalable and cost-efficient architectures.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
.Experience implementing enterprise-wide data transformation programs.
.Certifications in Snowflake or Cloud Platforms.
.Exposure to real-time data processing (Kafka, streaming).
.Experience supporting AI/ML data pipelines.
.Strong stakeholder and executive communication skills.
