Senior PHE Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clients to develop designs, conduct design calculations, and select appropriate equipment and systems for installation.
• Carry out detailed engineering design for piped water supply and both above- and below-ground drainage, including layouts, schematics, and details.
• Perform engineering design for public health and fire protection systems, including preparation of layouts, schematics, schedules, specifications, and details.
• Draft technical schedules and specifications.
• Organize and manage BIM documentation for design work.
• Represent the discipline during client meetings.
• Ensure service and project work is completed within agreed deadlines and budget.
• Prepare briefing documentation for water, drainage, and fire protection to facilitate outsourcing design to approved delivery suppliers.
• Review design information to ensure it meets briefing requirements.
• Critically assess building services documentation at all design stages (concept to construction) and provide design input and guidance.
• Demonstrate proficiency in designing sustainable plumbing and fire protection systems, including hydraulics, piping systems, pumps, and equipment.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure project coordination and timely delivery.
• Supervise and train junior engineering staff to meet project standards.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 8–12 years of experience in building services design engineering.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant subject.
• Experience in public health and fire protection system design is mandatory.
• Ability to take responsibility in a team-based organisation while working independently.
• Working knowledge and understanding of Indian standards.
• Broad building design knowledge from experience across multiple project types.
• Strong Excel skills, including the use of macros.
• Mechanical bias with understanding of electrical concepts and their impact on projects.
• Awareness of coordination with architects, structural, and civil engineers.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, IES, and Hevacomp software.
