Senior Payroll Accountant
Job Description
Role & Responsibilities:
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of payroll accounting processes for assigned global regions (primarily APAC and/or EMEA)
• Ensure accurate and timely month‑end close activities, including payroll journal entry preparation and payroll‑related accruals
• Reconcile payroll GL accounts, including payroll funding and clearing accounts, and perform balance sheet reconciliations for payroll and benefit accounts
• Analyze payroll expense fluctuations, identify variances, root causes, and trends; provide clear explanations to stakeholders
• Maintain detailed supporting schedules, audit trails, and documentation for all accounting entries and reconciliations
• Collaborate with stakeholders including Payroll Operations, HR/Benefits, Controllership, FP&A, and local teams to resolve payroll accounting issues and queries
• Support payroll accounting internal controls, SOX compliance, internal and external audit requirements
• Assist with global system initiatives, including SAP S/4 HANA implementation, system testing, and interface reconciliations
• Partner with global payroll system teams such as ADP GlobalView and third‑party providers where applicable
• Support regulatory reporting, annual surveys, and ad‑hoc tax or payroll compliance requests
