Senior OBIEE Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch OBIEE environments (OBIEE 11g/12c).
• Manage OBIEE system architecture including WebLogic Server, BI Server, Presentation Services, and repository (.rpd) files.
• Monitor system performance and optimize OBIEE server and query execution.
• Manage security configurations including user roles, permissions, and integration with LDAP/Active Directory.
• Troubleshoot and resolve OBIEE issues related to infrastructure, connectivity, and report execution.
• Coordinate with database administrators, network teams, and application developers to ensure seamless integration and performance.
• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for OBIEE components.
• Maintain and tune BI metadata repositories (.rpd files).
• Automate routine tasks using scripting (Shell, Python).
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior administrators and BI developers.
• Document system architecture, processes, and operational procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest OBIEE features, patches, and best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing OBIEE environments, including OBIEE 11g and 12c.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server and OBIEE components (BI Server, Presentation Server, Scheduler, Catalog).
• Experience with OBIEE repository development (.rpd) and administration.
• Proficient in SQL and performance tuning of BI queries.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with security frameworks and integration with LDAP/Active Directory.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead OBIEE administration efforts.
