Senior Network Engineer
Job Description
• Configure, operate, and automate enterprise or service provider grade network hardware and cloud IaaS networks (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Utilize software-defined network technologies and apply expert knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, MPBGP, ISIS, MPLS).
• Develop and maintain network scripts using Python, JavaScript, or other relevant languages.
• Review system configuration settings/policies, identify improvement areas, and implement best practices.
• Apply knowledge of network visualization models (SNMP, NetFlow, IPFIX, Netconf, Restconf, gRPC) to monitor and optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, collaborating with third-party vendors and internal teams.
• Follow ITIL practices, industry standards, frameworks, and reference architectures to maintain operational excellence.
• Multi-task and manage competing priorities in high-pressure environments, including night and weekend support as required.
