Senior Java Developer

Job Summary

Join our Strategic Solutions team and support enterprise-scale integration platforms for global clients in financial services, insurance, and manufacturing. You'll play a key role in diagnosing, resolving, and preventing complex production issues while maintaining mission-critical backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, diagnose, and fix production bugs in systems built using Java, Spring, Hibernate, and REST APIs.
• Collaborate with support teams and solution architects to triage incoming tickets and prioritize actionable issues.
• Refactor and document legacy systems to improve long-term sustainability.
• Analyze system logs, trace data flows, and identify root causes across monolithic and distributed systems.
• Engage in hands-on training with core product teams to understand system internals before transitioning to Strategic Solutions.
• Partner with QA and Product teams to ensure hotfix quality and process alignment.
• Help define best practices around triage, fix validation, and prioritization for operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of Java development experience, including:
• Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA
• REST API design and troubleshooting
• Performance profiling and debugging
• Working with both monolithic and microservices architectures
• Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with:
• Git, Linux, and shell scripting
• Refactoring and maintaining large-scale codebases
• Ability to work independently and prioritize high-impact fixes
• Practical mindset focused on system stability and sustainable code
• Interest or experience in AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, AI code generation tools)

Nice to Have

• Production experience using AI tools to assist with debugging, documentation, or development workflows.
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS and integration platform environments.
• Experience with:
• Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD
• Logging and monitoring (Prometheus, ELK stack, Grafana)
