Senior HVAC Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:

Summary:

Graduate in Mechanical engineering with minimum 10 years post qualification detail design experience in HVAC for Modular technical buildings.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTITUDE:

Minimum Qualifications:

B.E/B Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum Experience:

10 years' post qualification HVAC design experience in Modular technical buildings preferably in Oil & Gas industry

Job-Specific Skills:

HVAC design experience in Modular technical buildings

Design software's like Carrier HAP

Design Optimisation

Knowledge in Autocad/3D Software preferred

Generic Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in MS Office packages – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of HVAC discipline

Familiarity with industry standards ASHRAE, CIBSE, SMACNA

Roles and Responsibilities (DETAILED):

• Propose economic solutions meeting the client/project requirements.

• To develop timely and cost-effective HVAC deliverable based on client given information, specifications.

• Preparation of deliverables like Datasheets, HVAC HL Calculations, HVAC Design Philosophy, HVAC Control Philosophy, HVAC IO list, HVAC D&ID, HVAC AFD.

• Review and approval of vendor deliverables like HVAC equipment GA, Refrigerant Schematic, Fan selection, equipment selection.

• Preparing necessary CRS for revised submission of documents.

• Preparation of engineering calculations such as ESP, Ventilations, Fresh Air, U value, duct heater.

• Preparing RFQ, TBE and selection of vendor for placing PO.

• Design and selection of equipment's/instruments suitable for project Hazardous area requirements.

• 3D model review

• Explain the deliverable to construction team and provide construction support as necessary.

• HVAC Estimation for the bids and coordination with stakeholders to gather all the required information for right estimation.

• Coordination with Projects team for smooth running of the project.

• Attend daily, weekly project meetings, internal and with client.

• Procurement support - Review and approval of OEM/Vendor offers as per project specification.

• As-built drawing submission of OEM/Vendor deliverables after completion of I-FAT.

• Any other responsibility as deemed necessary.
