Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

The Senior Field Service Representative will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

  • 24/7 Field Service Support: Provide 24-hour, 7-days-per-week on-duty/on-call field service support for airframe, engines, and Boeing or installed interior systems. This includes developing action plans and coordinating resources to resolve Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations promptly.
  • Technical Instruction & Training: Deliver 'Over the Shoulder' instruction in operation, line maintenance, installation, removal, and system troubleshooting. Provide training on Boeing 737 series or similar operation manuals.
  • Hands-on Troubleshooting & Assistance: Offer hands-on troubleshooting and technical assistance to support organic aircraft field maintenance personnel as required.
  • Expert Technical Guidance: Provide aircraft-specific technical knowledge, interface relationships, maintenance procedural advice, associated troubleshooting guidance, incidental repair assistance, and task-dependent technical/engineering data or drawing retrieval to support customer personnel.
  • Safety Emphasis: Emphasize safety aspects to be observed on Boeing 737 series and similar aircraft.
  • Service Document Guidance: Provide guidance and recommendations to support Service Letters, Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives as required.
  • Customer & Supplier Coordination: Participate in meetings with the customer and other contractors. Coordinate on-site support visits and meetings with senior Indian Air Force (IAF) leadership. Assist the customer in obtaining proposals/price quotes for products and services provisioning and in submitting invoices for payment release.
  • Security Clearance Management: Obtain and maintain an Indian Security Clearance to ensure access to the customer's facilities. Assist with supplier access, including coordinating security clearances with the customer, due to stringent aircraft location security requirements.
  • Maintenance Analysis & Improvement: Analyze maintenance difficulties and recommend changes to design, operation, maintenance, inspection, and training to improve the overall level of maintenance.
  • Accident & Failure Reporting: Assist the aircraft customer in completing accident investigations and failure reports.
  • Technical Reviews: Participate in technical reviews as requested by the customer.
  • Component Logistics Facilitation: Facilitate component spares, repairs, and exchange transactions. This involves coordinating requirements with the customer, assisting with export and import of components, and working with freight forwarders/shipping companies, including coordinating transactional activities with the customer.
  • Warranty & Spares Support: Provide technical and operational content for warranty and spares issues.
  • Quality Inspection Assistance: Assist the customer in receipt quality inspection for airworthy spares/materials and resolve issues pertaining to discrepancies in supply, if any.
  • Aircraft Software Management: Manage customer airplane software, including familiarity with MBF (including admin role) for on-time software uploads, Maintenance Performance Toolbox (MPT), Managed File Transfer (MFT) accounts for delivery of LSAPs/TBR packages, and other related support.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience, demonstrating broad expertise in the following areas:
  • Boeing 737 series or similar Aircraft Structures and Aircraft Rigging.
  • Boeing 737 series or similar Electrical/Environmental and Aircraft Systems.
  • Boeing 737 series or similar Navigation and Flight Avionics.
  • Aircraft maintenance activities.
  • CFM56 Engines/Honeywell 131-9 Auxiliary Power Unit (APU).
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain an Indian Security Clearance allowing access to the customer site.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Software Applications: 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance and repair computer applications such as MBF.
  • Service Document Experience: 5+ years of experience working with industry service documents such as Service Letters, Service Bulletins, or Maintenance Manuals.
  • Availability: Willingness to be on call 24x7 as required to support emergent customer requirements.
  • Travel: Willingness to occasionally travel within India to support offsite aircraft modification efforts, which may last up to 1 week.
  • Technical Documentation: Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, system schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Logistics Experience: Logistics experience working with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs clearance agents is helpful for assisting with clearance and delivery of spares/repairs/exchanges to the ultimate consignee.

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master + 12 years' related work experience).

Relocation:

  • This position offers relocation within INDIA based on candidate eligibility.
