Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing & Supervision:
  • Perform and supervise the testing of Epoxy, Concrete, Mortar, Admixtures, Flooring, RM, and PM as per R&D specifications.
  • Perform and supervise the testing of intermediates and finished products based on the R&D guidelines.
  • Record test results both in hard and soft copies as per QC requirements.
  • Data Analysis & Process Improvement:
  • Conduct statistical data analysis and use findings to drive process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with the product monitoring and measurement procedures outlined in the Quality Manual.
  • ERP & Non-Conformance Management:
  • Authorize and execute the release of RM/PM/FG in the ERP system.
  • Generate non-conforming material notes for rejected RM, PM, intermediates, and FG.
  • Modify first-time failure batches according to R&D guidelines.
  • Ensure non-conforming raw materials, packing materials, intermediates, and finished products are properly labeled.
  • Vendor & Material Management:
  • Ensure raw materials and packaging are sourced from approved vendors.
  • Assist in new raw material, packaging material, and vendor development in collaboration with procurement/R&D.
  • Calibration & Equipment Maintenance:
  • Oversee the calibration of both external and internal testing equipment.
  • Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained in optimal working condition.
  • Customer Complaints & Corrective Actions:
  • Handle customer complaints and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for failures.
  • Implement corrective actions based on RCA findings.
  • Compliance & Audits:
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and EHS standards.
  • Assist in plant-level product development with the technical team.
  • Ensure compliance during all audits conducted in the laboratory.
  • Continuous Improvement & Training:
  • Continuously improve testing procedures for raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods.
  • Conduct regular process audits and implement corrective actions for observations/non-conformances.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and 5S standards are followed in the lab.
  • Provide training to the plant lab staff on quality and safety-related topics.
  • Coordination & Reporting:
  • Coordinate with tolling units for QC operations, new product setups, and provide daily and monthly reports.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Education:
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry (Inorganic or Organic Chemistry).
  • Experience:
  • 5-8 years of manufacturing/quality control experience in the construction chemicals or chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of ERP/SAP systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer skills.

  • Strong understanding of routine QC methods, procedures, and equipment handling.
  • Familiarity with Integrated Management System (IMS) standards.
