Job Description
What youll do:
- Support & maintain an existing SAP landscape that includes ECC/ERP, Portal, PI, SLT, HANA, Business Objects, Data services & Solution Manager.
- System/Client Copies for large databases.
- Analytical review and recommendation for landscape improvements.
- Monitor file system and database capacity and work with administrators to add space as needed.
- Windows, MS SQL Server, FTP working knowledge a must - Solution Manager experience.
- Own, resolve and test Basis related issues.
- System monitoring and setup of batch jobs.
- General problem resolution (i.e. short dumps, OSS notes, OSS messages).
- Perform SAP performance monitoring/tuning, including Early Watch Report Generation and analysis.
- Support integration with SAP Add-Ons and interfaces.
- Investigate SAP related database management system problems.
- Monitor the DBMS performance and disk capacity (table spaces).
- Analyze impact of the application related OSS notes / patches / service package recommendations.
- Recommend appropriate application-related patches / notes / service packages.
- Implement recommendations and test (e.g., SAP Kernel, Support Pack Stack, etc.).
- Upgrading/updating SAP add-on products.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
What youll bring:
- Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, or any other related field.
- 3-6 years experience in experience as a SAP Basis Analyst or Administrator.
- System monitoring experience using SAP standard tool set.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving including short dump analysis, OSS review & interaction, etc.
- Experience in a production support environment including the use of a ticketing system and compliance with SLA requirements.
- Experience with SAP application patching (e.g. kernel, hot packs, etc.).
- Experience with change management processes and transport management.
- Experience with Solution Manager with basic and extended configuration.
- Highly self-motivated, excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.
- Can hold team and self responsible for maintaining the highest possible performance standards and meeting agreed upon commitments even under difficult circumstances.
- Takes responsibility for outcomes of actions and decisions.
