Senior Engineer - Python Automation Testing

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer - Python Automation Testing to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through robust API testing, comprehensive automation, and collaborative testing practices. You will be expected to contribute to all phases of the testing lifecycle, from test design to automation development and code reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated API tests using Python.
• Collaborate with the team to review test designs and automation code, providing constructive feedback.
• Utilize Git for version control, including understanding and participating in pull request reviews from a testing perspective.
• Work with Jenkins for continuous integration and test automation pipelines.
• Perform manual testing at both local and system levels to validate functionality and identify defects.
• Actively participate in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Apply testing expertise to Embedded Linux environments.
• Develop tests for gRPC and RESTful APIs.
• Contribute to network-related test design and execution.
• Work with a test management/ALM tool to track and manage testing activities.

Required Skills and Experience :

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation testing.
• Expertise in testing APIs using Python.
• Proven experience working collaboratively within a team, including peer review of test designs and automation code.
• Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Bitbucket, with a solid understanding of pull request reviews from a testing perspective.
• Strong experience in manual testing at the local and system level.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with testing in Embedded Linux environments.
• Familiarity with gRPC and RESTful APIs from a testing standpoint.
• Experience with network-related test design.
• Proficiency in working with a test management/ALM tool.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Squish or other BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) frameworks.
