Senior Engineer - CAM

We are seeking a proactive Senior Engineer - CAM to join a global CAM Programming team. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in CNC programming and will be responsible for generating, verifying, and delivering CNC programs for manufacturing plants worldwide. This role requires strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality and timely delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities

• CNC Programming: Generate CNC programs for Mills or Lathes. You will also verify CNC code using Vericut to ensure accuracy.
• Quality and Delivery: Be responsible for the quality and on-time delivery of CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programs. You will address any issues that may affect delivery or quality in a timely manner.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in existing processes and make recommendations for productivity and method enhancements.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot CNC programs to improve both efficiency and quality.
• Documentation: Write operator documentation for the CNC programs and ensure all engineering change requests and non-conformances are documented correctly.
• Tooling and Support: Design and coordinate the fabrication of tools required to support CNC operations. You will also provide feedback on tool planning to the Manufacturing Engineering team.

Skills Required

• Education: A Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, CIPET, NTTF, or CITD.
• Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in CNC programming and machining.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with CAM systems such as Esprit CAM, Siemens NX, or other CAM packages is a must.
• Simulation Software: Work experience with CG Tech Vericut simulation software is preferred.
• Domain Knowledge: Good knowledge of hot runner designs and an understanding of how to apply Mold Master's products in customer processes.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to apply common sense to solve problems involving several concrete variables.
