Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed electrical engineering building services design and calculations using Revit and Amtech.
• Deliver electrical design solutions from concept to tender for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, schedules, design reports, and innovative design solutions.
• Plan and manage Revit input for the production of design work.
• Ensure project delivery to the highest technical standard, within deadlines and budgets.
• Represent Buro Happold in client, site, and external design team meetings.
• Produce and review reports, presentations, models, and drawings with accuracy and quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth, potentially leading to line management responsibilities.
• Manage project finances, monitor scope, and ensure quality assurance.
• Embrace new technologies to improve performance and sustainability, supporting net zero targets by 2030.
• Engage with colleagues across disciplines in collaborative discussions, events, and seminars.
• Take ownership of client and external stakeholder relationships, supporting business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BEng) or Master's degree (MEng) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Lead Electrical Engineer on complex building services projects.
• Broad design knowledge covering the full project lifecycle – from concept to tender – using Indian and International codes.
• Strong expertise in electrical building services design, calculations, and sustainability principles.
• Domain knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Revit, Amtech, and other electrical design software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and client expectations.
• Strong collaborative mindset with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to adopt and lead the use of new analysis tools and digital technologies.
