The Senior Director for Finance and Private Sector in the CEF Program will be responsible for shaping and delivering WRI s work on increasing the quantity, quality and coherence of the financial system, across public, private, domestic and international, climate, nature and development finance
The Senior Director will also be responsible for overseeing work supporting transitions in corporate business strategies
They will provide thought leadership internationally and in WRI; strengthen WRI s analysis, convenings, partnerships and programs to support finance and private sector transformation; and grow and build a professional cadre of finance and private sector professionals within CEF, across WRI focus countries and within WRI s energy, cities, and food/land/water teams
The Senior Director, Finance and Private Sector should bring a background in development and/or climate finance and an understanding of corporate transitions for people, nature and climate
They should have a strong technical grounding in these issues with experience applying this knowledge in the context of emerging and developing economies, including experience working with Finance Ministries, Multilateral Development Banks and Development Finance Institutions, private sector financial institutions, companies, and other relevant senior actors
