Senior Design Engineer - I

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Design sheet metal parts and weldment assemblies independently.
• Custom design of refrigerated rack systems including structure, components, piping, control panels, and detailed drawings in SolidWorks based on sales orders.
• Generate submittal and manufacturing drawings compliant with ANSI and ASTM standards.
• Re-design existing products to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce cost.

Engineering Analysis & Validation

• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis on assemblies (doors, frames, racks).
• Develop and maintain design FMEA and process FMEA to reduce product launch issues.
• Conduct structural design calculations and FEA studies to validate designs.
• Participate in DFMEA, DFMA, and design reviews.

3. Documentation & Communication

• Prepare and submit Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and maintain project documentation.
• Write and present reports to project managers and clients.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers on technical details.
• Take ownership of assigned projects or tasks.

4. Hands-On & Problem Solving

• Resolve product or manufacturing problems individually or as part of a team.
• Hands-on involvement on the shop floor as required.
• Apply problem-solving methodologies like A3, root cause analysis, and 5-whys
