Senior Design Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage large assemblies in CAD; create and review manufacturing drawings (Form-Fit-Function), assembly drawings, and BOM creation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to define fabrication plans for new products.
• Design component packaging and refrigeration tubing layouts using CAD.
• Apply knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and standards.
• Provide design support for New Product Development (NPD) and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects.
• Support scheduling of critical tasks and deliverables; lead brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to meet product market specifications.
• Create and review Project Charter, Project Plan, and Risk Mitigation Plans; conduct frequent reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Product Management to define product market specifications for refrigerated doors and frames; finalize Product Requirements (PRD) from Market Requirements (MRD).
• Optimize existing product costs using VAVE methodology.
