Senior Data Modeler

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Modeler with extensive experience in data modeling, SQL, metadata management, and data governance . The ideal candidate will have expertise in relational, dimensional, and analytic data modeling with hands-on experience in databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Teradata . Strong knowledge of data governance, data cataloging tools (Alation, Collibra), and metadata repositories is essential.

• Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain relational, dimensional, and analytical data models for large-scale OLTP and analytical systems .
• Perform hands-on data modeling, ER diagramming, and enterprise software design for diverse data ecosystems.
• Define and enforce data modeling standards and best practices for scalable and high-performance solutions.
• Work with SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Teradata , optimizing performance and query tuning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, architects, product managers) to translate business requirements into effective data models .
• Implement metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging using tools like Alation and Collibra .
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across data models and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Support history handling, time-series data warehousing, and complex data transformations .
• Assist teams in adopting data modeling best practices for global, large-scale data-driven implementations.
• Contribute to data governance initiatives and establish a centralized metadata repository .
• Work in a fast-paced, agile environment with short release cycles and iterative development methodologies.
• Required Skills:7+ years of experience in relational, dimensional, and analytical data modeling.
• Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Teradata .
• Experience with data modeling tools (Erwin, ER Studio, or similar).
• Expertise in data governance processes and metadata repositories .
• Knowledge of semantic data modeling concepts and multi-fact model designs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with engineers, architects, and product managers .
• Ability to work on multiple projects/products simultaneously with minimal specifications.
• Experience in Alation and Collibra for data cataloging and data lineage tracking .
• Good to Have:Knowledge of Python for data processing.
• Experience with Informatica for ETL and data integration.
