Senior Consultant.Paediatric Surgery

Role & Responsibilities:

Patient Care

• Provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to paediatric patients.
• Conduct evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and postoperative care.

Surgical Procedures

• Perform complex paediatric surgeries including congenital anomalies, oncologic surgeries, trauma cases, and other surgical conditions.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

• Work closely with paediatricians, neonatologists, anaesthesiologists, and other specialists to deliver coordinated patient care.

Parent and Family Communication

• Explain medical conditions, treatment options, and surgical procedures clearly to parents and families.
• Ensure families remain informed and involved in decision-making.

Educational Role

• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in paediatric surgery.
• Share clinical and surgical expertise to support academic growth.

Research and Academic Contributions

• Participate in research initiatives and contribute to scientific publications.
• Present research findings at medical conferences to advance paediatric surgical practices.

Quality Improvement

• Engage in quality improvement projects to enhance patient safety, surgical outcomes, and healthcare practices.
