Senior Consultant General Surgery

As a Senior Consultant in General Surgery, you will perform complex surgical procedures, provide high-level clinical leadership, and play a vital role in mentoring junior medical staff. Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of patient care throughout the surgical process—from pre-operative evaluation to post-operative recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complex and advanced surgical procedures with clinical excellence and adherence to medical protocols.
• Supervise, mentor, and guide junior doctors, residents, and surgical staff in clinical and surgical settings.
• Oversee patient care during the entire surgical pathway—pre-operative assessment, intra-operative management, and post-operative care.
• Participate in surgical audits, clinical governance meetings, morbidity and mortality reviews, and medical boards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate: MBBS or equivalent (Any Graduate in a medical discipline)
• Postgraduate: MS/DNB in General Surgery or equivalent postgraduate qualification
• Valid medical registration and license to practice
