Job Title: Senior Consultant – Financial & Legal
Function: Finance & Accounting (IT Services & Consulting)
Role Summary:
Responsible for providing end-to-end financial and legal advisory support across reconciliation, procurement, contracts, regulatory compliance, governance, budgeting, and risk management. The role ensures financial accuracy, legal compliance, and robust documentation while supporting project implementation and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reconciliation:
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Reconcile payment gateway transactions, Earnest Money Deposits (EMD), tender fees, and refunds related to bidders, vendors, and departments.
Legal Review & Regulatory Advisory:
- Review laws, regulations, policies, and contracts to identify risks and compliance gaps.
- Draft, vet, and revise MoUs, agreements, RFPs, contracts, legal notices, and other legal documents.
- Provide advisory support to align projects with national, state, and sector-specific regulations.
Contract & Procurement Support:
- Prepare and review procurement documents including RFPs, RFQs, bid documents, and evaluation criteria.
- Support contract drafting, negotiation, and finalization with vendors and stakeholders.
- Ensure procurement processes comply with financial and legal frameworks.
- Assist in vendor evaluation and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with financial, tax, corporate, and statutory regulations.
- Advise on governance frameworks, roles, responsibilities, and accountability mechanisms.
- Support internal and external audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance reviews.
Financial Planning & Budget Management:
- Assist in preparing budgets, fund allocation plans, and expenditure forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance and analyze variances against approved budgets.
- Develop financial control guidelines, SOPs, and reporting formats.
Legal Risk Assessment & Mitigation:
- Identify potential legal risks from contracts, regulations, and operational activities.
- Recommend safeguards and mitigation strategies.
- Provide advisory support on dispute resolution, arbitration, litigation, and compliance challenges.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare financial, legal, compliance, and advisory reports.
- Develop standard templates, checklists, and documentation frameworks.
- Submit periodic reports highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations.
