Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, code, and assign claims to appropriate diaries.
  • Act as a point of contact for field operations regarding claim investigations.
  • Investigate claim details, collect evidence, and examine the facts of each case.
  • Determine and place reserves on claims within the delegated authority limits.
  • Engage with claimants, witnesses, police, and hospitals as part of the investigation and settlement process.
  • Negotiate and settle claims, seeking approvals as required.
  • Submit claims to Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), including litigated claims, along with required documentation.
  • Communicate field-related trends or safety issues to supervisors or HSSE personnel.
  • Prepare reports or conduct analysis as assigned.
  • Collaborate professionally with internal teams and external parties, upholding bp's mission, vision, values, and commitment to diversity.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Graduate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in claims or insurance.
  • 2 years of full-time claims adjusting experience preferred.
  • Experience in investigation or technical knowledge related to claims handling is an advantage.
  • Associate in Claims (AIC) certification or other relevant industry designations is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
