Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Review, code, and assign claims to appropriate diaries.
- Act as a point of contact for field operations regarding claim investigations.
- Investigate claim details, collect evidence, and examine the facts of each case.
- Determine and place reserves on claims within the delegated authority limits.
- Engage with claimants, witnesses, police, and hospitals as part of the investigation and settlement process.
- Negotiate and settle claims, seeking approvals as required.
- Submit claims to Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), including litigated claims, along with required documentation.
- Communicate field-related trends or safety issues to supervisors or HSSE personnel.
- Prepare reports or conduct analysis as assigned.
- Collaborate professionally with internal teams and external parties, upholding bp's mission, vision, values, and commitment to diversity.
Experience and Qualifications
- Graduate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in claims or insurance.
- 2 years of full-time claims adjusting experience preferred.
- Experience in investigation or technical knowledge related to claims handling is an advantage.
- Associate in Claims (AIC) certification or other relevant industry designations is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
