Job Description
- Work closely and in-depth with a team of digital planners, providing guidance on media planning with deep platform knowledge.
- Maintain a strategic mindset, including conducting audience deep dives, creating approach notes, and integrating GroupM's vertical offerings to create cohesive client presentations.
Client Success
- Understand client objectives and competitive trends across various product categories.
- Steer client review meetings on a regular basis.
- Deliver client delight by integrating all media offerings, including digital, offline, content marketing, and brand associations.
Manage Campaign Supervision Team
- Manage and supervise a team of campaign supervisors.
- Utilize your knowledge of platform nuances and details to lead your team efficiently.
- Guide the team on campaign optimization regularly.
- Work with the Planning team to deliver timely reports.
Campaign and Business Reporting
- Collaborate with planners and reporting experts to build and deliver campaign reports and post-campaign analysis.
- Possess the foresight to connect media delivery and reports back to business objectives.
- Work with GroupM's automation experts to automate reports, enhancing efficiency.
Team Management
- Manage large performance teams (Biddable and Performance Display), overseeing everything from strategy to delivery and client engagement during annual and regular reviews.
- Develop and strike partnership deals with key publishers and large affiliates.
Measures of Success
- In three months, you will:
- Work with all parts of the GroupM digital ecosystem, bringing them together as a unified offering for the client.
- Introduce new digital channels across media to achieve the optimum performance media mix for existing clients.
- Lead the team of planners.
- In six months, you will:
- Learn how to effectively pitch 360-degree digital products to clients.
- Work with a diverse team of media buyers and planners across a 360-degree media landscape.
- Be ready to lead and deliver client reviews.
- In 12 months, you will:
- Emerge as a champion and go-to person for digital marketing solutions.
- Be proficient with the latest trading techniques and deals by managing the largest portfolio of publishers and channel partners.
What You Will Need
- Minimum 11-12 years of experience in digital media planning and buying.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills combined with outstanding presentation skills.
- Proven team management skills.
- Understanding of the programmatic landscape is preferred, including knowledge of the digital advertising industry, trends, and technologies (DMP, DSP, SSP, etc.).
- Applied knowledge of 3rd party ad serving, website, and tracking technologies is preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced analytical skills, specifically related to performance data and metrics, are preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Stay abreast of the latest technology that affects digital advertising.
- Experience working closely with publisher partners to elevate industry standards in line with client needs.
- Exposure to affiliate and programmatic technologies.
- Demonstrated people management skills.
