Job Description
| Responsibilities for Candidates |
- Assisting Senior Technician in technical analysis;
- Analyse ground data and prepare base maps;
- Prepare graphic representations of a parcel of land or a portion of road (plan, profile and section);
- Annotate work to be done (barrier, border, pavement marking, etc.);
- Preparation of a highway, roadway and detour path;
- Plans and profiles, cross sections, typical sections and details
- Temporary or permanent signage design;
- Preparation of an installation slip;
- Other duties as assigned.

Key Competencies / Skills
- The successful candidate is likely to be having 10-15 years' of highway work experience with consultancy firm or developer, International experience or Global design centre are an asset.
- Must have strong abilities to work with CAD, Microstation and Microsoft Office; Knowledge of InRoads, Openroads, Infraworks and Civil3D will be an asset.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at given time.
- Understanding of Canadian standards and design practices are an asset

- Ability to work under pressure and with minimum of supervision
- Strong organization skills;
- Good written and spoken communication skills and be fluent in English
- Committed team player;
- Cultural awareness
Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil;
- 3-10 years' working experience on infrastructure projects and detail design of highways and drainage.
- Experience to work in/with other cultures.
- English spoken and written
- French spoken and written a plus
Desirable Skills
- Professional licencing within Canada is an asset;
- Solid understanding of other road design requirements (e.g. drainage / hydraulic design, environmental design / mitigation measure, engineering surveys, geotechnical investigations and design);
- Solid understanding of Ministry of Transportation, Canadian standards and design practices are an asset;

Familiarity with Canadian regulatory environment and experience with approval processes is an asset.
