Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Asset & Lease Management

• Maintain and manage the depreciation register
• Ensure leases are accurately recorded and tracked as per schedules

Payroll & Bookkeeping

• Review and process payroll when required
• Oversee bookkeeping tasks and provide constructive feedback

Client Workpapers & Reporting

• Create and maintain detailed workpapers for each client
• Prepare and finalize BAS (Business Activity Statements) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statements)
• Prepare management reports and financial statements as needed

Taxation & Compliance

• Prepare and finalize tax returns for companies, trusts, individuals, and SMSFs
• Handle SMSF-specific accounting and taxation activities
• Review EOFY financial records and respond to associated queries
• Manage ATO queries and ensure strict compliance with lodgement deadlines
• Analyze and recommend optimal tax computations for clients

Client Relationship Management

• Address client queries promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with the manager and principal to serve multiple SME clients
• Perform ad hoc duties as required to support client outcomes
