School Counselor and SEL Instructor

Key Responsibilities

Personal Counseling of Students (50% time)

• Conduct formal psychological assessments for provisional diagnosis.
• Identify academic, emotional, social, and behavioral gaps.
• Provide one-on-one counseling to help students overcome personal challenges.
• Document cases thoroughly to maintain a qualitative and quantitative database.

Social Emotional Learning Instruction (40% time)

• Conduct SEL classes for groups of 30–40 students across all grades.
• Build a positive classroom culture focused on developing socio-emotional skills.
• Use existing resources and design innovative sessions and unit plans for SEL instruction.

Coaching School Team and Parents (10% time)

• Collaborate with the School Principal and Vice-Principal to coach teachers and staff on supporting students with special needs.
• Guide parents on best practices to support their children's learning and socio-emotional development.
