Scala programming Expert

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable applications using Scala (beyond Spark usage).
• Work with Scala 2.11+ and support migration to newer Scala versions.
• Design and implement backend services using Play Framework (Play 2.4 or later).
• Work with Akka framework including Actors, Remoting, and Persistence.
• Use sbt (Scala Build Tool) for project builds and dependency management.
• Apply functional programming principles and write idiomatic Scala code.
• Perform unit and integration testing for Scala-based applications.
• Work on large-scale codebases and support framework/library upgrades.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment processes.
• Debug and resolve migration, runtime, and system issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Contribute to search and backend system development in distributed environments.
