Sapfico Functional Specialist

We are seeking an SAP FICO Functional Specialist to drive the implementation, rollout, and support of the Finance and Controlling modules within SAP. This role requires a professional with a strong background in manufacturing finance who can translate business requirements into technical solutions, configure the system, and ensure seamless integration across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Implementation and Rollout Support: Drive Finance and Controlling module in SAP Implementation and template rollouts, along with supporting the integrated system across the organization.
• Business Process Analysis and Solution Design: Engage with both Indian and global finance team members to validate business requirements. Translate functional needs into SAP FI-CO configurations and enhancements. Align SAP solutions with best practices in manufacturing financial processes.
• Configurations and Customizations: Configure core FI-CO Modules, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, and Product Costing. Support integration with other SAP modules to ensure seamless data flow and reconciliation. Collaborate with ABAP Developers for custom developments, interfaces, and enhancements.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain Business Requirement documents, functional specifications, configuration documents, process flow diagrams, test scripts, and end-user documents. Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and audit requirements where applicable.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Training: Provide training to finance users and business controllers on SAP processes and reporting. Serve as a liaison between business teams and technical development teams. Work closely with external implementation partners as required.

Skills Required

• Experience: 4 to 8 years of experience, with at least 2 years of domain experience and more than 4 years as an SAP functional expert, including 1-2 full life-cycle implementations.
• Proficient in FICO modules: GL, AP, AR, AA, CO, PCA, CCA, IO, COPA, and CO-PC.
• Understanding of integration points with MM, PP, SD, and PS.
• Familiarity with SAP tools like LSMW, BAPI, IDOC, and FIORI apps.
• Familiarity with Indian taxation (GST), statutory compliance, and localization requirements.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce. Professional certification in SAP FICO (preferred). Additional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or MBA (Finance) are a plus.
• Abilities: Strong understanding of financial processes in the manufacturing industry, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
