SAP POWER BI Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and publish multiple innovative visualization reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI cloud service.
• Develop compelling and interactive analysis reports and dashboards for various departments (e.g., Operations, Customer Service) using advanced DAX functions.
• Extract, shape, and transform data from diverse data sources into Power BI applications, specifically for business intelligence (BI) purposes.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data mining, data transformation, and loading data onto Power BI reports.
• Initialize and effectively use DAX functions for aggregations, counts, calculations, relationships (Related), date functions, table functions, and iteration functions.
• Create and manage Filters, quick filters, table calculations, calculated measures, and parameters within Power BI dashboards.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, including KPIs and monthly inventory analysis reports, utilizing DAX functions and data visualization.
• Convert existing operational Excel reports into Power BI reports to enhance accessibility and interactivity.
• Design and develop reporting data modules specifically for operational analytics.
• Develop reports for customer service queries to analyze current customer issues.
• Collect, analyze, summarize, and present production and process data information & trends to management through compelling visualizations.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for reports, metrics, and processes.
• Solve technical and data-related problems to meet the evolving needs of the business.
• Participate in project implementations, specifically for deploying solutions to the operations environment, and engage in direct communication with clients.
• Develop reports incorporating time intelligence functions like Year-to-Date (YTD), Month-to-Date (MTD), and Same Period Last Year.
• Create effective visuals and reports to analyze data effectiveness on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis using DAX functions.
• Prepare machine-wise data on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly bases using DAX functions.
• Review internal operational facility layouts for process improvement opportunities using data insights.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Strong experience in designing, developing, and publishing innovative visualization reports and dashboards in Power BI cloud service.
• Confidence in querying data using SQL (ANSI Standard) and DAX languages.
• Extensive experience with DAX functions, including Aggregation, Count, Calculate, Related, Date, Table, and Iteration functions.
• Ability to create and manage Filters, quick filters, table calculations, calculated measures, and parameters in Power BI.
• Experience in extracting, shaping, and transforming data from multiple sources for Power BI applications.
• Advanced reporting skills using SQL Server, including creating Conditional, Drill-down, TopN, Summary, and custom reports.
• Good understanding of MS Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent handling of Oracle systems, Excel, PowerPoint, and System databases.

Good to Have:

• Experience with advanced reporting techniques and complex data transformations.
• Knowledge of SAP data sources for integration with Power BI (implied by 'SAP Power BI Developer' title).
