Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
SAP PLM Functional Consulting:
- Lead or support implementation and optimization of SAP PLM modules, particularly DMS.
- Configure document types, number ranges, statuses, and version management for document info records (DIRs).
- Set up document distribution, storage, and classification in accordance with enterprise standards.
SAP DMS Expertise:
- Configure SAP DMS including:
- Document Info Records (DIRs)
- KPro (Knowledge Provider) and Content Server setup
- Integration with external viewers and CAD tools (like ECTR or SAP 3D Visual Enterprise)
- Workflow for document approvals and change management
- Support engineering change processes (ECM) and their link to documents and materials.
Integration & Collaboration:
- Work with product development, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless PLM integration with SAP MM, PP, and ECTR.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure and BASIS teams for repository management and security.
Support, Testing & Documentation:
- Conduct unit and integration testing, support UAT.
- Troubleshoot issues related to DMS functionality, storage, or document access.
- Prepare functional specifications, configuration documentation, training materials, and user manuals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP PLM, with at least 2 years focused on SAP DMS.
- Experience with content repositories (KPro) and SAP Content Server configuration.
- Strong understanding of Document Info Records, classification, and change management.
- Experience working with SAP ECC or S/4HANA.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
