SAP PLM Consultant

Teamware Solutions is seeking a skilled SAP PLM Consultant to guide clients in effectively managing their product lifecycles within the SAP ecosystem. This role is crucial for working with relevant SAP technologies, ensuring smooth operations, and significantly contributing to business objectives through expert analysis, development of solutions, implementation, and troubleshooting within the SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) domain.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Business Process Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes related to product development, engineering, manufacturing, and data management. Identify opportunities for optimization and alignment with SAP PLM capabilities.
• Solution Design & Configuration: Design and configure various SAP PLM modules and functionalities, including Product Structure Management, Document Management (DMS), Change Management (ECM), Variant Configuration, and Engineering Control Center (ECTR).
• Implementation & Deployment: Participate in the full lifecycle of SAP PLM implementations, including system setup, data migration strategies, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination, and post-go-live support.
• Integration: Ensure seamless integration of SAP PLM with other core SAP modules (e.g., SAP ERP/S/4HANA PP, MM, SD, QM) and external systems like CAD/CAE tools or MES.
• Customization & Development Support: Work with technical teams to define specifications for custom developments (RICEFW objects) and enhancements when standard SAP PLM functionalities don't meet specific business needs.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex issues within the SAP PLM environment. Offer ongoing support, maintenance, and continuous improvement for existing functionalities.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive functional and technical documentation for SAP PLM configurations, processes, and solution designs.
• Training & Change Management: Develop and deliver training materials for end-users and key stakeholders. Support change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new SAP PLM processes and functionalities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business users, project managers, technical teams, and other consultants to ensure successful project delivery and operational excellence in product lifecycle management.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• SAP PLM Expertise: Strong functional knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing and supporting various components of SAP PLM.
• Product Development Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of product lifecycle processes, from conceptual design and engineering to manufacturing and service.
• Configuration Skills: Proven ability to configure complex scenarios within SAP PLM modules.
• Integration Knowledge: Familiarity with integration points between SAP PLM and other relevant SAP modules.
• Analysis & Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective SAP PLM solutions. Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a project-oriented environment.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant SAP PLM certifications are a strong plus.
