Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
FERC Compliance & Reporting:
- Implement and manage SAP-based FERC reporting frameworks.
- Map standard SAP GL accounts to FERC account structures.
- Ensure accurate and timely FERC Form 1 and other regulatory report generation.
- Validate data extraction and reconciliation processes for FERC submissions.
SAP FICO Integration:
- Work closely with Finance teams on SAP FI/CO modules (GL, AA, CO-OM, CO-PA).
- Support month-end and year-end close processes related to regulatory reporting.
- Provide input on design and configuration for financial posting logic as it relates to FERC rules.
Project & Documentation:
- Participate in implementation, enhancements, and support of FERC reporting projects.
- Prepare detailed functional specifications and documentation.
- Collaborate with auditors and compliance teams to ensure transparency and traceability.
Support & Optimization:
- Troubleshoot and resolve FERC-related SAP issues in collaboration with business and technical teams.
- Optimize existing SAP FERC solutions and ensure alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Conduct end-user training on SAP FERC processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in SAP FI/CO, with at least 2 years of hands-on FERC reporting experience.
- Familiarity with FERC Uniform System of Accounts (USoA) and energy/utility industry standards.
- Strong understanding of financial data mapping, regulatory compliance, and accounting principles.
- Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the energy, utilities, or oil & gas sector.
- Prior experience with FERC Form 1 automation or custom reporting in SAP.
- SAP FICO or Utilities certification.
- Exposure to SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities) is a plus.
