SAP CO Consultant (CO-PC & COPA)

We are looking for a skilled SAP CO Consultant with expertise in CO-PC (Product Costing) and COPA (Profitability Analysis). The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in SAP Controlling, working with product costing, profitability analysis, and financial reporting. The consultant will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing SAP CO solutions to support business operations.

Responsibilities:

• SAP CO Implementation: Design, implement, and configure SAP CO with a strong focus on CO-PC (Product Costing) and COPA (Profitability Analysis).
• Costing Method Definition: Define costing methods, cost center accounting, internal orders, and overhead costing to effectively support business requirements.
• Integration: Work seamlessly with SAP FI, MM, and PP teams to ensure smooth and accurate integration across modules.
• Cost Object Configuration: Configure cost object controlling, material ledger, actual costing, and perform comprehensive variance analysis.
• Cost Allocation: Implement cost allocation cycles, assessment cycles, and activity-based costing methodologies.
• COPA Development & Optimization: Develop and optimize COPA structures, value fields, and profitability reports.
• Data & Margin Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis, margin analysis, and contribution analysis using COPA.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with finance and business teams to ensure accurate costing and profitability reporting.
• Month/Year-End Support: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities specifically related to Controlling (CO).
• S/4HANA Migration & Support: Support SAP S/4HANA migration projects and enhancements for CO-PC and COPA modules.
• Troubleshooting & Training: Troubleshoot issues, provide effective end-user training, and create comprehensive system documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in SAP CO with a focus on CO-PC (Product Costing) and COPA (Profitability Analysis).
• Deep understanding of both costing-based and account-based COPA.
• Proficiency in cost estimation, standard costing, actual costing, and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of SAP Material Ledger (ML) and its impact on costing.
• Hands-on experience in SAP integration with FI, MM, PP, and SD.
• Strong business process knowledge in manufacturing, cost controlling, and profitability analysis.
• Good understanding of data extraction and reporting using SAP BW, SAP Fiori, or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with finance teams, stakeholders, and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Controlling and Universal Journal (AcdocA).
• Exposure to SAP BRF+ for COPA derivation rules.
• SAP certification in SAP CO is a plus.
