SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Objects (BO) Consultant with 5 to 7 years of expertise in designing, developing, and supporting Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using the SAP BO suite. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data visualization, universe design, report development, and integration with SAP and non-SAP data sources to deliver meaningful business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop BO reports and dashboards using Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and BO Dashboards (Xcelsius).
• Create and maintain universes (IDT/UDT) for semantic layer modeling.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and BI solutions.
• Integrate BO reports with SAP BW, SAP HANA, or other backend systems.
• Optimize BO reports for performance and maintain data accuracy and consistency.
• Work with business users to provide ad hoc query support and training.
• Perform data validation, unit testing, and support UAT and production deployments.
• Manage BO security, user access, and folder structure in the Central Management Console (CMC).
• Provide production support, issue resolution, and enhancements as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience in SAP Business Objects (WebI, Crystal Reports, IDT/UDT, CMC).
• Strong knowledge of universe design, data modeling, and relational databases (SQL).
• Hands-on experience with report development from SAP and non-SAP data sources.
• Experience in performance tuning, report optimization, and data validation.
• Good understanding of BI lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, and deployment.
• Familiarity with BO administration tasks (user management, security, scheduling).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience integrating BO with SAP BW, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, or other ERP systems.
• Exposure to BI tools like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, or Tableau.
• Basic understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• SAP BO certification is a plus.
