SAP BusinessObjects BI Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop reports, dashboards, and universes using SAP BusinessObjects tools (Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, BO Dashboards, Lumira, etc.).
• Create and maintain universes using Information Design Tool (IDT) or Universe Design Tool (UDT).
• Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze reporting requirements.
• Optimize and maintain BO reports and universes for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Ensure proper integration of SAP BO with SAP BW, HANA, or other data sources.
• Manage BO security, user roles, and report access.
• Perform BO platform upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing technical support.
• Work closely with the data warehouse and application teams to ensure accurate and efficient data flow.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects BI Suite.
• Strong experience with Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Universe Design (IDT/UDT).
• Good understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
• Experience integrating BO with SAP HANA, SAP BW, or SAP ERP systems.
• Knowledge of BO server architecture, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with report bursting, scheduling, and distribution using BO CMC/BI Launchpad.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other modern BI tools.
• Familiarity with HANA views and calculation views.
• Experience with BO SDK or custom report extensions.
• SAP BO certification is a plus.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments and ticketing tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow).
