SAP BASIS - non-HANA

Teamware Solutions is seeking a proficient SAP BASIS Administrator (non-HANA) to manage and optimize our critical SAP landscapes. You'll ensure the stability, availability, and optimal performance of our traditional SAP systems, playing a vital role in supporting our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade SAP NetWeaver components (ABAP and Java stacks) on non-HANA databases like Oracle, SQL Server, or IBM Db2.
• Perform SAP system administration tasks including patching (SPAM/SAINT, SUM), system copies/refreshes, and client administration.
• Manage and troubleshoot SAP transport management (STMS) and change control processes.
• Monitor SAP system performance, identify bottlenecks, and execute performance tuning.
• Administer supporting database systems, including backups, restores, and space management.
• Handle SAP user authorizations and security profiles, apply SAP Notes, and perform kernel upgrades.
• Provide vital troubleshooting and support for complex SAP Basis issues, ensuring high system availability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an SAP BASIS Administrator.

Skills Required:

• Extensive experience with SAP NetWeaver administration on non-HANA databases (Oracle, SQL Server, IBM Db2).
• Strong practical knowledge of SAP system installations, upgrades, and patching (SUM).
• Proficiency in SAP transport management (STMS) and client administration.
• Solid experience with database administration tasks relevant to SAP systems.
• Familiarity with common operating systems for SAP (e.g., Linux, Windows Server).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills in a complex SAP environment.

Preferred Skills:

• SAP BASIS certification.
• Experience with cloud deployments of SAP systems.
• Knowledge of scripting for automation.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
