Sap Ariba Functional Consultant

• Designs and implements procurement solutions using Ariba.
• Translates business needs into system configurations.
• Ensures compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the specific needs and objectives of the business customer.
• Act as a functional expert in procurement-related business processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and develop business requirements.
• Define how Ariba applications will support business needs.
• Conduct impact analysis for new or changing business requirements.
• Analyze, determine, and document detailed system requirements.
• Validate that system configurations meet business expectations.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction.
• Estimate work effort and coordinate design/development activities.
• Proactively resolve issues through effective work planning.
• Mentor team members on business processes and functional areas.
• Provide accurate status updates on deliverables, risks, and issues.
• Promote a strong client service attitude within and across teams.
• Manage expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.
• Support test planning, execution, and review phases.
• Assist with the creation and review of technical cutover deliverables for production.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience with:
• Ariba Buying & Invoicing (B&I)
• Guided Buying
• SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP)
• Ariba Sourcing
• Preferred: Experience in the Life Sciences sector.
• Bonus: Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori applications.
• Additional beneficial knowledge: SAP ERP and OpenText VIM systems.
