SAP ABAP For HANA Developer

Job Summary:

The SAP ABAP for HANA Developer is responsible for developing and optimizing custom applications and reports on the SAP HANA platform using advanced ABAP techniques. This role focuses on leveraging HANA-specific features like CDS views, AMDP, and performance tuning for S/4HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance custom programs using ABAP on HANA best practices
• Create and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) views and Analytical Queries
• Implement and manage ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP)
• Migrate classical ABAP code to be HANA-compliant
• Collaborate with functional consultants to gather and analyze technical requirements
• Optimize code for high performance in HANA-based systems
• Integrate ABAP developments with Fiori/UI5 front-end where applicable
• Perform unit testing, documentation, and technical support
• Follow SAP development standards and ensure code quality through reviews
• Support deployment and upgrade projects involving S/4HANA

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development
• Strong experience in ABAP for HANA, CDS views, AMDP, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver and Eclipse-based ABAP Development Tools (ADT)
• Good understanding of data dictionary objects, ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
