SAP ABAP For HANA Developer

Job Summary:

The SAP ABAP for HANA Developer is responsible for developing and optimizing ABAP code to leverage SAP HANA capabilities. This role focuses on creating high-performance applications, enhancing standard SAP functionality, and supporting business processes through custom development in an S/4HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize ABAP code tailored for the SAP HANA database
• Create custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows
• Utilize advanced HANA techniques such as CDS views, AMDP, and HANA procedures
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements
• Perform performance tuning of existing ABAP programs in the HANA environment
• Debug and resolve technical issues related to custom developments
• Adhere to SAP development standards and maintain comprehensive documentation
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and system migrations
• Work with Fiori/UI5 developers for backend service enablement
• Conduct unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development
• Hands-on experience with ABAP for HANA including CDS views and AMDP
• Strong understanding of data dictionary, reports, BAPIs, BADIs, enhancements, and OData services
• Experience with S/4HANA environments and performance optimization techniques
• Good analytical, debugging, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP for SAP HANA
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData integration
• Familiarity with REST APIs and SAP Gateway
• Exposure to Agile project methodologies and DevOps tools
• Knowledge of code pushdown techniques and native SQL in HANA
