SAP - ABAP Developer - GCC Healthcare Domain

 Responsibilities:

• SAP ABAP Development on HANA/S/4HANA:
• Design, develop, test, and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects) on SAP S/4HANA.
• Leverage modern ABAP programming techniques, including ABAP CDS Views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and SQL Script for optimized performance on HANA.
• Develop and extend SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, including OData service creation and consumption, to meet specific user experience requirements.
• Implement and debug various enhancement techniques such as User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Spots, and custom ABAP Objects.
• Develop and maintain integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services, and Proxy frameworks.
• Create and modify forms using Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and SAPScript.
• Healthcare Domain Specialization:
• Apply a solid understanding of key healthcare business processes and relevant SAP modules (e.g., IS-H Patient Management, Clinical Systems, Hospital Billing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Revenue Cycle Management) within an SAP context.
• Develop solutions that support specific clinical workflows, patient data privacy, medical billing regulations, and operational requirements unique to healthcare providers.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry integration standards like HL7 and FHIR is a significant advantage, particularly for interface development.
• GCC Region Compliance & Adaptation:
• Demonstrate awareness of business practices, cultural nuances, and specific legal, regulatory, and statutory reporting requirements for the healthcare sector in GCC countries (ee.g., KSA, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait). This includes understanding local tax laws (e.g., VAT), data residency, and Ministry of Health guidelines.
• Develop and adapt SAP solutions to ensure compliance with GCC-specific requirements.
• Performance Optimization & Quality:
• Analyze and optimize existing and new ABAP programs for performance on the HANA database, using tools like SQL Trace, ABAP Runtime Analysis, and Code Inspector/ATC.
• Ensure all developed code adheres to SAP best practices, coding standards, security guidelines, and maintainability principles.
• Conduct thorough unit testing and support integration testing to ensure the quality and robustness of developed solutions.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
• Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants to understand detailed business requirements and translate them into precise technical specifications.
• Prepare comprehensive technical design documents, functional specifications, test plans, and deployment guides.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Support & Continuous Improvement:
• Provide expert-level support for existing SAP ABAP applications, troubleshooting complex production issues and performing root cause analysis.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, S/4HANA innovations, Fiori developments, and healthcare industry trends.
