Salesforce Test Engineer
Job Description
As a Salesforce Test Engineer within Medtronic's Digital Technology team in Pune, you will be a crucial validation and quality expert for our Salesforce and non-Salesforce applications. You'll be responsible for reviewing existing system functionality, conducting requirement analysis, defining test strategies and designs, and leading test execution to ensure the stability and quality of our solutions, ultimately championing healthcare access and equity for the global diabetes community.
A Day in the Life
You will ensure the quality and reliability of our Salesforce ecosystem by:
- Completing all steps of the SDVLC documentation, including interpreting functional requirements, confirming requirements with functional business analysts, writing test plans, and executing and documenting system integration testing.
- Utilizing applicable tools to facilitate adequate systems testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Contributing to identifying and implementing continuous improvement concepts to increase efficiency and maximize value to clients.
- Maintaining a broad understanding of current testing software technologies.
- Assisting in unit, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Demonstrating the ability to multi-task assignments and exercise judgment regarding escalations to senior team members or vendors.
- Maintaining a productive relationship with Stakeholders, Process Owners, and Technical and Functional Peers through effective communications and collaboration.
- Developing and maintaining a strong practical understanding of technologies currently deployed within the department.
- Developing, documenting, and executing detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts for Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and eCommerce Cloud.
- Performing functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure the stability and quality of the solutions.
- Identifying, logging, and tracking defects, and working closely with the development team to resolve issues.
- Ensuring that all Salesforce configurations, customizations, and integrations meet the specified requirements and quality standards.
- Verifying data integrity and performing data validation testing across various Salesforce Clouds.
- Conducting end-to-end testing of Salesforce processes and workflows, including custom Apex and Visualforce components.
- Collaborating with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
- Providing regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
- Participating in Agile/Scrum activities, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in testing Salesforce applications.
- Experience with creating automation test scripts using Selenium, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps.
- Ability to utilize Salesforce testing tools such as Salesforce Inspector, Data Loader, and Workbench for testing and data management.
Nice to Haves
- Salesforce Administration certification is a plus.
