Salesforce Release Management

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and coordinate all Salesforce release activities, including major and minor deployments.
• Work with Salesforce Admins, Developers, QA, and Business Analysts to consolidate release schedules.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Gearset, Copado, AutoRABIT, or Jenkins.
• Govern and enforce change management and deployment best practices.
• Manage and monitor source control (e.g., Git), branches, and versioning strategies.
• Maintain a consistent and reliable sandbox strategy (dev, QA, UAT, staging).
• Perform pre-deployment impact analysis and post-deployment validation.
• Document release processes, technical changes, and rollback plans.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to reduce release-related risks and downtime.
• Stay updated on Salesforce seasonal releases and evaluate their impact.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Salesforce release management, DevOps, or configuration management.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata, change sets, unlocked/managed packages, and API-based deployments.
• Hands-on experience with source control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with Salesforce development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Proficient in Salesforce tools: Workbench, Data Loader, Ant Migration Tool, or SFDX CLI.

Desirable:

• Experience with Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Salesforce certifications: Platform App Builder, Admin, or DevOps Specialist (Copado).
• Knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, or Flows is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile ALM tools (JIRA, Confluence, Rally, ServiceNow).
