Salesforce Commerce Architect

Responsibilities:

• SFCC Architecture & Design: Define and lead the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architecture and Design for large-scale, multi-country, multi-language B2C web sites.
• Headless Commerce Implementation: Lead at least one Headless Commerce Implementation Project across all SDLC phases, with a preference for lightning-fast frontend frameworks like Vue Storefront or similar stacks.
• SF OMS Integration: Work with SF OMS (Order Management System) as a backend engine, integrating it seamlessly with SFCC.
• API Exposure: Expertise in exposing Salesforce Commerce Engine functionality via OCAPI, SCAPI, and B2C Commerce API for frontend frameworks like Vue Storefront or similar.
• Standard Feature Utilization: Ensure all new B2C commerce functionalities are built using Salesforce standard features and align with target technology architecture.
• Composable Commerce Knowledge: Possess knowledge of Composable Commerce Stacks and a basic understanding of platforms like Commercetools.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of developers (mix of onshore and offshore), providing technical guidance and day-to-day coaching for solution and integration teams.
• Architectural Documentation & Presentation: Deliver compelling presentations, architectural blueprint documents, environment management plans, and development policies.
• Solution Design & Strategy: Participate in requirements-gathering workshops to influence the strategic direction of projects and lead the business through solution design.
• Best Practice Execution: Ensure the execution of best practice standards for design, coding, environment, and data.
• Functionality Documentation: Document any newly developed functionality in solution designs.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Partner end-to-end with Product Managers/Owners, Business Stakeholders, and business analysts to understand customer requirements and process flows, translating them into Salesforce technology solutions.
• Application Architecture Management: Manage all application architecture artifacts.
• Application Rationalization: Drive ongoing application rationalization and simplification of user experience.
• Technical Specification Translation: Demonstrate a strong command of technical details to translate proposed solutions into functional specifications with the technical team.
• Technical Delivery Management: Manage technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements for the built applications.
• Proof-Of-Concept Development: Build Proofs-Of-Concept to illustrate possible technical solutions to stakeholders and technical staff.
• Development Patterns & DevOps: Establish and implement development patterns for technical staff to follow and define and implement DevOps processes to improve development quality.
• Technical Governance: Establish and control technical definitions, rules, principles, and standards for teams.
• Solution Design Review: Assess, review, and make decisions on all solution architecture designs.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in implementing large scale, multi-country, multi-language Ecommerce B2C web sites primarily on SFCC.
• Proven experience in defining Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architecture & Design.
• Experience working with SF OMS as a backend engine.
• Expertise in exposing Salesforce Commerce Engine via APIs for frontend frameworks like Vue Storefront or similar.
• Led at least one Headless Commerce Implementation Project across all SDLC phases.
• Extensive experience in exposing SFCC standard and custom functionality via OCAPI, SCAPI, and B2CCommerce API.
• Knowledge of Composable Commerce Stacks and a base understanding of platforms like Commerce tools.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and guide a team.
• Proficiency in delivering compelling presentations, architectural blueprint documents, environment management plans, and development policies.
• Strong command of technical details to translate proposed solutions into functional specifications.
• Ability to manage technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements.
• Ability to build Proofs-Of-Concept.
• Skills in establishing and implementing development patterns and defining DevOps processes.
• Deep understanding of SFCC architecture, processes, and best practices.
• Experience working with OCAPI, Commerce API, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud Business Manager.
• Extensive prior experience in integrating SFCC APIs via middleware to frontend stacks.
