Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Ensure successful initiation, planning, execution, control, and completion of small or less complex projects by monitoring, tracking, and analyzing project control metrics.
  • Leadership: Lead project development, production support, and maintenance activities. Proactively address any project issues before they escalate.
  • Timesheets and Invoicing: Ensure timesheets and invoicing processes are completed on or before the deadline.
  • Customer Interface: Lead customer communication for the project on a daily basis and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ticket/Incident Management: Track open tickets/incidents in the queue, allocate them to resources, and ensure that they are closed within deadlines. Ensure analysts adhere to SLAs/KPIs/OLAs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage the delivery team, including self, to find ways to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Risk Management: Assist the Project Manager in Risk Management activities and participate in quality reviews and implementing quality norms.
  • Software Quality Compliance: Ensure the project complies with Software Quality Processes and defined timelines.
  • Documentation: Draft initial project charters, project plans, and create/review functional and technical specification documents.
  • Project Control Metrics: Monitor, track, and analyze project control metrics and ensure successful knowledge management, including reuse, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Project Status Reports: Consolidate and review project status reports across all modules and lead knowledge management activities.
  • Team Leadership: Promote teamwork, motivate, mentor, and develop subordinates to ensure high team performance.
  • Production Support: Provide application production support as per the process/RACI Matrix (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed).

Required Skills:

  • Project Management: Ability to manage project timelines, risks, and customer expectations.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
  • Customer Communication: Strong communication skills to interface with customers regularly.
  • Ticket/Incident Management: Ability to manage tickets/incidents efficiently and ensure timely resolution.
  • Risk Management: Familiarity with managing project risks and ensuring timely issue resolution.
  • Documentation & Specifications: Strong skills in drafting functional and technical specifications and other project documentation.
  • Software Quality Compliance: Knowledge of quality norms and processes to ensure project compliance.
  • Knowledge Management: Experience with knowledge management processes, including reuse, accuracy, and efficiency.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing small or less complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong understanding of project control metrics, SLAs, KPIs, and OLA adherence.
  • Proven track record of providing leadership and guiding a team to successful project completion.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide production support as needed.
