Job Description
A Sales Manager for Gold Loans is responsible for managing a sales team to achieve revenue targets by acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones for gold loan products. Key duties include setting sales targets, developing strategies, managing a sales team, conducting market analysis, building relationships with customers and valuers, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Roles and responsibilities
Sales and team management:
- Manage and motivate a team of sales professionals (e.g., Gold Loan Officers) to achieve sales targets.
- Recruit dedicated sales manpower for the gold loan business.
- Train the sales team on products, sales techniques, and fraud prevention measures.
Business development:
- Identify new business opportunities and potential locations for gold loan business based on market analysis.
- Expand distribution channels and explore new avenues for sales.
- Achieve specific sales targets, such as a minimum monthly productivity and a target percentage of customer renewals.
Customer and relationship management:
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to increase retention and 'depth' of the relationship.
- Ensure timely renewals of existing customer loans to retain the client base.
- Handle customer queries and provide appropriate solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party valuers and valuation agencies.
Operations and compliance:
- Grow the assets under management (AUM) while meeting profitability targets.
- Monitor and analyze sales data and market conditions.
- Ensure the team follows all internal compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- Assist with audits and other ad-hoc activities as required.
